I'm interested -- are all of your boxes sealed or do your ported or slotted boxes as well? I have a really nice slotted box in my car now but it's too damn big. If you can make a great sub box for a 12" sub that puts out good sound, i'd be interested as well.

I love ported boxes but pysically they do need to be about 50% larger than sealed.

I really can't do anything until I get a lancer in the shop and figure out whats going to be best for you guys

I would be 100% interesed in a "drop in" box for the Evo...

*But* you have to remember - a lot of Evo owners bought their cars for practicallity, not just show and go... with that said, I thnk you have to leave some of the trunk functional...

Just my .02.

Here are my thoughts on this-

2 designs, 1 that basically sits on the drivers side of the trunk, paneled off so it fits like a factory part, for 1 10 or 12" sub whichever would fit best, have it carpeted to match the factory trunk liner, and then have a removable grille for the front covered in black grille cloth. More of a compact sealed design, yet it would look nice.

then for the 2nd design, have the subs facing the rear with a setup for 2 10" or 12" subs, a nice colored plexi face, and it would also have a trim panel so it looks like a factory fit. It wouldn't have to come out past the edge of the trunk opening, still leaves about 50% of the space left in your trunk.

The first design would be a more lightwieght setup, it would probaby weigh about 20lbs for those of you who are wary of weight.

the 2nd design would be more of a 'show' style box, and would weigh probably closer to 40-50lbs.

i would gladly be your pig but live in chicago. very interestred in the light weight design. the one thing you will need with evo drivers is the ability to remove the whole setup in minutes. there is a huge difference between my car with my 2 10' kickers and nothing. i have a box, but it slides around and popped out my headlights, so this would be something i'd purchase today. you can send me something that you think would work for what i want above. i would gladly to all the testing for you.

you think that's bad try having 2 12" Eclipse subs. Each sub weighs 25lbs then you have to add on the box and the amp
