the panel was just sit in there, not attached but you get the idea. I can make the front either black, red, blue, or white and even custom colors on request. the top of the box where you see bare wood will also be carpeted.

The box weighs 30lbs for those who are concerned abouot weight

Any idea on costs?

And a sound reccomendation...I'm not a fan of flabby loud bass. Something tight, articulate, and accurate....what would you reccomend?

probably $175 + shipping for that style

SQ subs, There are quite a few out there, but Image Dynamics, JL audio W6, FoCal Polykevlar subs, Diamond Audio D6, Etc etc. Hundreds of brands.

In a sealed box design as long as the proper airspace is used its going to sound pretty good, so much is dependent on the box rather than the woofer choice, as long as you go for a sub that has a decent sized magnet, good motor structure, and isn't one of those monster 50 lb subs build for SPL rather than SQ then it should sound pretty good.
