Can anyone tell me what this Manifold is coated in? I've had this picture as my desktop for months and have yet to ask about it.

thats what I thought, but I know the polish lasts for one day before it doesnt look pretty. Plus I thought the discoloration meant it was coated in something Guess I was wrong

I always assumed that was just the polished finish. I read somewhere a long time ago, it depends on the material used on how it will look after a few heat cycles. If you use the good stuff, it will stay that polished look with some purple/teal discoloration. Cheap material, rusts out. Just from what ive read.

It's funny cos rexpeed charges like $40 postage for side skirt extensions to be sent in under a week lol, sorry to say but some US places rip ya on postage haha... Shame cos I can't find APR/WORKS bar here and it's the only one I really like may have to go GT SPEC or something if can't find a better deal

Edit: pic of mine to keep thread rolling not 100% yet, if anyone knows where I can get the above mentioned bar for cheaper or willing to help me out please let me know.

Off topic but where did you get the colored projector lenses? Nice look!

They are custom quad projector with the shields painted purple that is all plenty of info on the net.

A friend of mine here in AUS does it and has a thread on this site:
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...s-block-9.html

I believe he's also done some work for some US evos if your confident opening up the HL's its not that hard to paint the shield and reseal them if you want double or triple there's a bit more work involved.

That sir, is header wrap. keeps the heat from radiating out from the header, and the idea on the radiator is it will keet the heat from burning up the rubber hose

ive known people to do this and most drag cars do but wouldnt it be pointless for a street car.. mostly conserning about how it would trap heat thus causing it to get hotter?

The more heat you can keep in the exhaust the faster it will move. This equals to a more efficient turbo.
