Valdisport - Looks so awesome, just way too much going on, and like the gialla only looks good with a racecar sticker'd up car

Veilside - just looks horible overall

C-west - Looks awesome, thats why i got it.

Kaminari - looks really good, acually an evo here in vegas has it. but only the front, but still looks good.

Chockets - only looks good on certain cars... whatev though

now evodriven, what one do you like?
+1

but for me I dont have to worry about the Evo 9. Cwest still looks more aggressive.

Why buy a $700.00 EVO IX Front End when you can buy a StreetConcept C-West for $200.00 with good fitment.

I'm planing on geting myself that kind of bumper, change the look of my car every month. It's like those modifier import toy cars, where you get to change the hood, bumpers and wheels, hehehe

For $200.00 you can't go wrong with that.

Just out of curiosity, why did you say "spare me the functional BS"?

C-West is the only bumper kit manufacturer that I know of that does wind-tunnel testing on its body kit. I have a copy of the Japanese Hyper Rev magazine of the results; the full body kit including the GT wing maintains roughly the same amount of drag while eliminating lift (in fact, the kit produces 'negative lift' or 'downforce') on an Evo VII. The stock Evo VII was tested to have some lift in front and rear.

Of course one can debate to no end as to the accuracy/reliability of such data.

But given the amount of information available, C-West is the only aftermarket body kit that I would consider getting.

Prodrive also wind-tunnel-test their lips/wings but they are mostly Subaru component manufacturer.

materail wise there is no different, fitment there is no different...so the price yes the price.
You can check in this forums I sold 12 front bumper to member of this forums, perhaps you can ask around about my bumper.

[QUOTE=GDB]Just out of curiosity, why did you say "spare me the functional BS"?
[QUOTE]

Because nobody purchases a c-west bumper because they think it will make their car handle better...A different style bumper is there to change the style of the car.

Sure C-West is gonna claim to have wind-tunnel testing and this and that but all that is merely a marketing technique to get people to buy their product. Heck almost every product I've seen advertised for the evo has some performance oriented claim because the manufacturers know that evo owners will buy anything if they think it will make their car faster.

As for me I'm not a fan of body kits, but there are much nicer ones around than C-West...HKS Kansai, Valdisport, Varis, Gialla are the main ones that come to mind.

I'm strictly JDM though, and would prefer the stock evo 8 bumper with a CF lip OR the JDM Evo VII front end with CF varis lip.

C-WEST does do extensive wind tunnel testing and on track testing. The owner himself races in GT300 class in JGTC AND also races in Super taikyu both in 350Z. Also In Japan if you look at the Gymkana Evo's and Super Taikyu EVO's 70% of the cars are using C-West aero parts.

I know you've probably already made up your mind and my opinion doesn't matter to you, I just can't understand why anyone would wanna make their evo look the same as everyone elses...I'm willing to bet well over 500 evo owners in the US alone are running c-west bumpers. There are many different options out there, I'm just inviting you to explore them before you make your decision and be a sheep like everyone else.
500 evo owners in the US have the cwest front... that's 10 per state. that's not a lot. i have yet to see a cwest in person. sure it seems like 'everyone' has a cwest front... if you go by the internet forums.

anyway, back on topic

the replicas i've seen seem to have fitment issues around the headlights.

ehhhh, There is a functional reason for the bumper.

C west bumper has been track tested...

adding the Cwest bumper and doing nothing else to the Evo has yeilded up to 1 second faster lap times.

More downforce = more traction in turns.

I did. and I know several other Evo owners that did aswell. Can you believe that some of us actually track our cars and want them to handle better??? ...wow.

thx for speaking for all of us though, we all appreciate your false sense of reality.

Is this the bumper your are talking about?? It not Valdisports.. this bumper is from Test & Service, Japan

www.test-service.co.jp

The bumper is not cheap tho.. about $900 for the FRP unit

The carbon hood is $1500+ ..
