The knock off one has a bigger hole for the intercooler, its wider and taller if you look carefully where it line up with the headlights. Also the edges are sharper on the real one, especially right below the bottom canard where the groove is deeper.

the bottom one (mine) is the real one.

It doesn't seem to fit that great, because all the bolts aren't put in. In order to get the perfect fitment (which it has no doubt), you just need to bolt up all the bolts. NOne of my lower bolts were in place which causes the bumper to want to "hang down" i gotta get that taken care of hah..

I know you've probably already made up your mind and my opinion doesn't matter to you, I just can't understand why anyone would wanna make their evo look the same as everyone elses...I'm willing to bet well over 500 evo owners in the US alone are running c-west bumpers. There are many different options out there, I'm just inviting you to explore them before you make your decision and be a sheep like everyone else.

You have to look around ur local area to say that? This is the interweb and everyone on the interweb has everything.

Theres about i can say only about 10evos That i know of within about 50miles radius n CLT and NONE of them have a C-west KIT, but everytime i get on this Website everyones got a C-west kit. The only time ive had my hands on one was in Orlando at Kami Speed.

The track testing of C-west products were also done with wings and their complete kits. Only thing changed was the bumper covers. Not bumper supports are anything else to loose weight. Extensive measurements were taken for downforces along with lap times and also intake temps from their unique air intake. Noticeable track times were lowered as stated. Changing from our stock wing to their wing makes a difference also. If you look around there are a posts about bad fitting copy kits. I have talked with many aero kit manufactor CEO's in Japan (Value Sports, Cwest, INGS to name a few) and they are very upset at this trend and are even considering reducing the amount of kits they make because of it. They spend major $$ to make a kit for our cars and them no one rewards them for their hard work. Just my 2 cents. I'l post the issue of Lancer EVO that did the Cwest test when I get a chance.

You can check in this forums I sold 12 front bumper to member of this forums, perhaps you can ask around about my bumper.
i have a question and a bone to pick.

everyone says cwest looks great yada yada. i agree.

the knock offs... i have a a serious nagging very suspicious and unhappy doubt about them now.

i've been searching through vboy's (and nils') picture archives of the various cwest knockoff evos he's shot. i'm looking for something very specific. mounting points.

i saw a knockoff cwest bumper this weekend. it was horrid. this was from a big name manufacturer too. the mounting tabs were mere protrusions of fiberglass. the scoop was just a flap that sat on top of the radiator bracket. not one thing was even drilled. in fact the tabs weren't even flush.

now i understand bondo and sandpaper can make miracles happen. but good gracious... i wouldn't want anyone to take an open hooded picture of my car ever again.

and this is EXACTLY what i found with the vboy shoots. every shot avoids this area when the hood is open. coincidence? maybe... and in that case... i challenge someone to put up a pic right now of how your knock off cwest is bolted into the car. (i was only able to see ONE mounting point, the same one that was not flush on the unit i saw, in the silver evo shoot that vboy did.)

so WTF is going on. you guys didn't copy the mounting tabs? got lazy? wth is with this product? it's like they copied a a square and left out the corners. i didn't even buy it and i'm still pissed off.

now i can't even find that one pictures that i saw earlier... le sigh.
