I've been wanting a new shift knob, and want the MOMO titanium piece. Just worried about the metal sitting in the hot Texas sun. Same with all other metal knobs.

ive noticed that most of the shift knobs recommened dont have the shift pattern on them, the reason i am concerned about this is if someone else drives the car (for instance the dealer) they would not know if its 5 or 6 speed and where reverse is. just wondering if anyone else has thought of this or had problems with this?

to my surprise, the black kartboy knob is cooler in the texas sun than the silver Mitsu one... don't get me wrong, it still burns flesh - only now it takes 4 seconds instead of 2.

Gets hot in the sun, but the ARC titanium is what I have and I love it.

I recently got a DSG shift knob made of 100% delrin. I first saw it on machevo.com. But found the maker's website, they are dent sports gear. They are machined from delrin and are slightly taller than stock which suits me fine. I have a B&M short shifter set at 45% reduction and it makes my shifter a touch too low for my taste.

The knob has machine marks on them from the lathe but they will smooth out after a few days of driving. A great alternative to the ralliart knob.
