how can you tell the difference between this kit and the replica they are now offering for much less?

I'm always a fan of the original but that is a huge price difference.
BTW I live in so cal and the other place is selling them out of the city of industry pretty close to long beach. still a gorgeous kit though

I saw this and here are my personal thoughts on imitations. The reason why so many companies in the industry today are having issues is due to the very very large "jdm style" products that are out there. There is nothing that we can do to stop this other as there will always be people who are after the look and nothing else. In time the companies that designed these innovative products will go out of business and the great minds that worked on these products will go elsewhere or get out of the industry. It hurts the industry and the tuning culture that we love and if I were able to...I'd boycott the products. For most people who mod their cars, their vehicles are direct representations of themselves...i wouldn't spend 36k on a real evo and then buy knockoff parts....doesn't make sense unless you really weren't able to afford the car in the first place.
Now as for the differences:
Ings uses a special molding process for their kits and produces a material they coin as "hybrid aero". It utilizes urethane to give their kits the structural integrity of fiberglass along with the flexiblity of plastic and urethane. This is the reason why these kits are prized for their perfect fitment. They are lightweight and are of supreme quality.
And we have them in stock ready to ship...
