New Mirrors! DIY Style
i think everyone is laughing a little, and some of us spit up a little in our mouths. . .this is just plain stupid, but the stockers back on man, you're not really saving THAT much weight, probably 5lbs on each side, but it's not ROTATING mass, it's gross weight, so just lose the weight or wear lighter shoes to make up for the "heavy stock mirrors"
dude, i'm not going to rip into you about being "creative", but if you are going to do so, then finish the job.
1:Paint the aluminum
2: use a metal aluminum plate to cover the hole where the stocker base is and attach your mirror there
if you do that, then it WONT look like someone jacked your miror and you are to cheap to replace it, and it STILL won't cost that much.
finish it up, clean up the look and then repost your new work.
just use thin(not too thin) gauge aluminum and make your own bracket!!!

Alright STOP! collaborate and listen, "Rice" is back with a whole new invention
That looks terrible, just like some of these guys putting bodykits and other non-functional crap on a great car. Go buy a focus if you want to experiment!

you know what i give you mad props for being some one on here with a little bit of money managing skills, i think they look unique and you did it your self so i give you a pat on the back and a thumbs up so rock on with the diy projects its your car the only opinion that matters is yours.
You do not need mirrors on the track, so if you intersted in saving money and weight then just take off your stokers and put nothing there. They even sell mirrors that you can suction cup to the inside of your windshield if you really feel you need them for the track and they weigh about 1 oz. Nice try on saving your self the embaressment of your own post by telling us they are for the track. Do yourself a favor and pm an admin to have this post deleted.
