Only US-Spec Evo's have a rear crash beam.

Japanese and European Spec cars don't use one at all!

Personally, I don't think it exsists, so until Z1 or someone else can provide a part number and a picture, I'm going to remain skeptical.

If it did exsist, we would have heard about it by now with all of the bumper exchanging and such going on.

you can not think it exists all you want, but it does. In fact we include it when someone buys the rear bumper from us, because that's the only way I feel comfortable selling it. The Japanese have crash requirements too

at some point we might bring them in...have not decided yet (so please, don't everyone and their brother PM me about it!)

as for the JDM part #, wont do any good as the part numbers do not transfer to the US, unless the same part is offered by Mitsubishi USA (which in this case, it's not)

What is the purpose of keeping something like this hidden? (of which someone else will uncover it sooner or later)

There are dozens of people considering buying OEM Japanese/European bumpers, are looking for a part like this, and are willing to pay a reasonable amount for it.

it's not a matter of keeping things hidden at all. Mitsubishi has been incredibly slow to deal with these past few months, and until I am assured of steady supply, it's not something I want to take orders for.

Can we start an interested/email list? Such that, when they do become readily available, we can order one from you ASAP? Something is better than nothing!
