I am about to buy another set of wheels and I am considering bronze. I already have flat back and love it, but I want something different for my race wheels.

Does anyone have pictures of a Silver Evo with Bronze wheels? Even good pics of a silver STI with bronze would be nice. I just want to make sure they look ok. I am going to buy the same rims that I have, just in another color and it is between bronze and hyper black.

Someone photoshopped Trbo_Dad's car for me to silver. I think I am going to buy these inBronze for race wheels. What do you guys think? I think it looks pretty good. If it looks really good in person I could switch my black wheels to race duty and these could be my street wheels.

Lightbulb Silver is nice.

Silver on Silver:

Silver on whatever, it still looks good:

Just because this is the first pic I have seen of black CE28s:

Those are gold wheels. I wouldn't mix bronze and silver. Gunmetal or polished is a much better fit.

Well. I already ordered the bronze FN01R-C wheels for my Silver Evo. If they look bad, they will just be my race wheels. No biggie. I think that photoshopped pic looks pretty good so we'll see. I'm mounting my 255/40 Victoracers on them first so I'll see how they look when I am racing.

BPAuto: I just posted those pics so that he could get a non-photoshopped idea.

What wheels are you running on your Evolution?

Instigator: How much do each of your wheels weigh? (black FN01R-C)
Was price the only reason you decided not to go with the Forged version of these wheels?

Thanks.

These weigh about 1lb lighter than stock. The cost to performance ratio is so large comapred to the forged wheels. I knew I would need a few sets, so there is no way I wanted to buy $500 wheels.

I dunno... either black SSR Professors, 18x9.5 (staggered offset), or Prodrive GC-010Es, British Black. I'm leaning toward Prodrive; they are getting back to me about whether their 18x9.5 wheel will clear.

Man! that pic would've been TIGHT if it was an EVO on those TE37 Mercury Silver. They're definitely look nice on any silver car IMHO. I've always like Volks especially the 37's.

Bronze, baby!

These are mine, with Volk CE28N's, in 17x8 w/ 33mm offset and umho V700 R-compound tires. They weigh just 13# each.

How about some more pics? What size are they? Those tires look too wide for the rims.
