First Evo 9 Mod

Hello people I just got a turbo timer (from another board member, thanks!) and installed it yesterday. The 8 harness works in the 9 and so for people who said it would not work well it does. I can put pictures but you guys already know what it looks like.

Still trying to figure out how to work the Greddy timer functions though.

As a first mod my car feels a lot stronger... especially after you take the key out of the ignition, before there was literally no power after removing the key, now... I have an additional 230 whp (???) ! How many mods do you know add that much bolt on power with no adverse effects under a hundred bucks! Not bad for a first mod!

There is not that much difference between 8 and IX. Most aftermarket parts should match

It plugs in the ignition of the car, take out the plastic of the sterring coloumn and you will see it. I read the ECU harness is different though the turbo timer does not plug there. There is actually a wire that splices into the speedo wire in the ecu though I have not installed that wire.

I know a lot of poeple are skeptical but if I had access to a dyno I can prove it to you guys. Baseline 1 ignition out of the car without timer, the second pull would be ignition out with turbo timer installed.

I am sure I will see a significant usable power and torque difference throughout the rpm range!!!!

DECALS, as long as they're decals they add power. Stickers are just knock off show pieces. Its those sweet decals that get the hp up and the 1/4 times down.
