Finally got to the track
I just got back from Barber Motorsports Park in B'ham. I went to a hp driver ed put on by tracquest/chin. These guys put on a great event, and I had a blast. Here are a few pics of me and the evo. They had a great photographer there and I had him burn me a disc before I left. I had over 2 hours of track time with instruction, and then had an additional hour of riding shotgun in my instructors track-prepped Z06. That was an amazing experience as well.

Nope. My suspension is stock, other than a Progress rear sway, set in the middle. Car turns in nicer, holds where you put it now. Stock advans, got them nice and hot. They make a nice howl when you push them once warm, even better grip than I expected. As the day went on, I pushed harder and harder, it was difficult to upset the car, even under a bit of trail braking and agressive turn ins.

Oh, $375 for one day, $675 for two. I thought I couldn't make it today, so I just did Sat. I could have gone today, so I messed up there, but I am definitely heading back to more of their events. Barbers is the most expensive venue, their two day roebling road in Ga is $300 something for two days. They go all over the east coast and west. Over 20 events this coming year.
Today would have started out with a very wet track , we had heavy rains over the night in to this morning, so I really wish I could have been out there in that!
