anyone tried Ding King or other dent removers?

hey all just want to see if anyone has any good or bad experience with these. i have a tiny dent in my car and its making me crazy. there is a "as seen on tv" store in my local mall that carries the ding king. i was going to buy it right away but they say all sales are final so i didnt wanna buy it and find out it didnt work and waste my money. so i thought i'd post here to see if anyone else tried it already. thanks a lot guys

Since yer in so cal, try Dentology's dpr (Paintless dent repair). They're based out of Manhattan Beach - (800) 336-8656. They charge 65-130 per panel for removing dents. They did a hell of a job on my sister's car. Even took a dent out of a fender crease and made it look new again.

My fiancee used dk on her last car and it came out flawless. You couldn't even tell there were any dents prior. I think it depends mostly on the skill of the actual technician. Just like I'm sure some won't do as good a job as others.

Here's a quote from my sister's boyfriend who has 8 years of pdr experience and is 5 star certfied, " I would never use one of those glue on kits on a mitsu. I have seen people pull the paint right off of brand new cars." He's working on a nice canalope sized dent right under my drivers side door handle. Some one kicked the mirror off my car and then threw it at the DS. window and then at the door. I have a nice 4-5" vertical crease in my door and a canalope sized dent. all that's left is the crease and he's gonna finish that in the next few days. He forgot one of his tools he needed to work on the crease.. pretty impressive to say the least.

I've used the dingking many times before. The thing works great, you couldn't tell they were ever there. No harm to the paint at all.

It has to do with the size of the dent.

My g/f got a door ding on her new 06 WRX TR (it only had 2k on it) when we were in SF a month ago. Anyways, she used Dent Pro, it came out like a new car (can't even picture where the dent was) and it was 89.00. They also come to your home or work.

I went to a dent king in my local city and paid him $75 to remove 4 small dents from the front of the hood.

a semi truck blew a tire and the remains of it flew up and hit my hood..

he fixed it perfectly.

If you have someone come do it, it will be perfect. I have done it several times with no problems. I have even had dents on seams and thought there is no way he'll get it out. But to my surprise they have always come out. I wouldn't fall for any over the counter crap you have to do yourself, but there are always dent repair guys around. If you can't find one in the yellow pages, call any local car dealership and they will have a number for you. They always keep those guys handy
