JBIGELOW:- The Airbox....
I believe he is allowing cool air from below to get into the box. the picture is not effective at showing this, or maybe the intercooler bottle has to be removed for the cool air.
nice looking unit

Dont worry man(NoTiGuY). I will buy it. Coz thats exactly just like the apexi airbox, and just
same meanin as the HKS Kansai carbon one. So theres more than enough proven!
I will buy it as long as that airbox out and the right price!

RalliartEvoVIII,
why so harsh....
was just asking for opinions on this, am not doing a sales/marketing gimmic here. so chill.... i understand what you mean by all your statements, nevertheless, i'd bet you (and myself) are victims of a sales and marketing gimmic to the products that you have purchased based on brand name. For the record, I've worked with HPi Japan, and have corresponded to them on this particular item. Havent received any news yet (holiday season), but majority of its aluminium/stainless steel product was made by us here. I could imagine if the product had a HPI sticker on it... am sure there wont be any questions on it.
If you compare the APEXi airbox and this, if that works, what more this?
jid2,
I've tried squeezing in a 4in funnel, could get it in, but scoop on the airbox just cant fit 4in, unless I remove the intercooler spray tank like you did and shoot it in there..

nothere,
you're right bout it. The pic below, is the duct that will be attached/screwed on to the bumper grill netting (on the license plate side) and an aluminium funnel ram will be attached to it all the way to the top of the airbox duct.

the pics have exceeded its bandwidth... just a repost...
stacked nicely... all four various colours.

side rear view..

aluminium finishing...

black anodized...

blue anodized...

nickel finishing...

on a friend's ride... (guess he's going for a dyno on it as he seems to be very happy with it after suffering certain loss of torque with open pod filters, will post his remarks if he doesnt mind.)

the air duct screwed on the bumper netting/grill (behind the license plate frame) that will have a 3"/4"aluminium funnel ram all the way up to the airbox's duct to supply sufficient air to the filter.

prototyping on fellow friend's ride...

prototype...

Blessed X'mas everyone
