APR splitter flew off...who else?
My APR splitter was ripped off also. The rods came apart and it got caught on pavement. It tore my stock bumper up pretty good. I didn't know what the sound was but it scared the **** out of me.

Never had any problems with mine. I have the rods attached to the bumper with the heavy duty nuts and bolts attached to the lip. The splitter has seen triple digits on the strip plenty of times and just got back from a 900 mile road trip with speeds averaging around 80 mph.
I've heard others having problems because they had the splitter attached with plastic clips to the lower lip.
Sorry to hear your story. *knock on wood* Hope it doesn't happen to me!

Mine has been fine for 3 summers so far and I DON'T have the rods on at all. I did use heavier stainless nuts/bolts with large washers on both sides but that's it. I barely trust the plastic clips to hold on the factory platic undertray.
