Ah ok, I thought you were saying you had been lazy about getting pictures, but you meant wiring it all up. Check all of your connections and make sure the unit is getting power. Let us know what you find.

You can select what you want the range to be on their website, 160 or 180...great for screwing with those rednecks that think the speedometer is somehow indicative of the vehicle's capabilities.

Ok I got the gauges in the mail today. They didn't include the ACD (Gravel/Tarmac/Snow) display I requested, so I'm not sure what I'm going to do here. They are just very thick stickers, kinda like a fridge magnet...no wiring, no internal light source, no installation instructions aside from what they have online. They are transparant where the light needs to shine through, with a colored filter. If they just lay over the stock gauges, I don't see how they're going to change the red light to light blue, nor how they're supposed to light up the custom text in the middle of the gauge, but I'll give it a shot.

The quality of the work is top notch though, I don't regret ordering them, if for no other reason than to "take one for the team", so don't feel guilty 4G63. But, I can't say I'd really recommend them at this time. Maybe once installed they will perform excellent and surprise me, but I don't see how that's possible...unless the stock gauge faceplates be removed/replaced...

You betcha. I did just notice on their "Dials Installation" page it says to remove the factory gauge face and replace them with these, so they may work fine afterall. I'm not sure what people are buying that they have to wire in, but I'm guessing they are buying some sort of overlay with Electro-Luminescent lighting. These appearantly replace the stock gauge faces properly, so there is no backlight to "go bad" per say. It seems to just use the stock backlight, which I assume is white. (filtered red by the stock gauge face)

I'm anxious to get them installed for you guys, but we are going to Chicago in a couple of days for a big motorcycle show, and I'm going to be too busy preparing for the show to get them installed. I'm going to leave the Evo with my mechanic friend over the weekend while we're in Chi-town...maybe I can convince him to slap them in while he's got it.

hmm this could be a good thing, if there is no wires this means that they arent the illumination type killboy was talkin about which would mean nothin could go bad if they use the stock gauge lighting, cuz i have heard alot of those illumination types that have the wires and stuff go bad in no time, but i dunno, cant wait to see the posted pics of them installed, cuz i really was wantin to order some of these, but we shall see............

Exactly! The fact that these replace the stock gauge faces rather than overlay them, seems preferable to me. No cheezy lighting to go bad, no wiring for easier install. They are probably more complicated to make, with all of the layers of colored vinyl that go into it, but they do look excellent. Plus it says "Evolution" where "Lancer" is on the stock gauges.

Sure...

Backing peeled away...

I stuck it to my laptop screen for a backlighting example...

I live and work at the "Tail of the Dragon" (super curvey road in NC/TN) and my license plate is "DRGNXPRS", hence the Dragon Express thing.

Yeah there was a Contour rally there the past couple of years. I assume you were a part of that?

Sketchy. We were out playing with about 60 others on motorcycles on new years day...it was about 60 degrees. We've had a lot of mild weather this winter really. It did snow a little over the past few days, and the DOT salted the Gap, so I'm waiting for that to get washed/worn off.

We've been playing in the snow a lot up on the Cherohala Skyway. (about a mile away from where I live) It stays white up there most of the winter, but they do try to keep the roads clear. If I get up there quickly after a snow, I get some good drift practice. I did manage to put the nose in the ditch the other night, but managed to back out of it somehow...amazing really...I just knew we were screwed. I keep a tow-rope and come-along (hand winch) in the trunk now!
