I honestly think the benefit is consistency. What I mean is, think about how you car runs when it you first drive it. I'm talking when everything is up to temp but before it is really hot. I know for me, the first time I punch my car in the mornings is when it really feels fast, but after I've gotten to work it's still feels strong, but it seems to lose it edge. This is most likely from things getting heat soaked. With the addition of the duct, the turbo will have a constant supply of fresh, ambient air instead of supper heated under hood air. I cannot quantify a hp number but we all know that cooler air is better for producing hp than hotter air. An additional benefit over its function is that it looks kick-***.
As far as the rain/sleet/snow issue, It doesn't concern me at all, but for people that it does concern a cap for the end would not be hard to supply.

couldn't have said it better myself!

SPEED...your tails will be done asap! they are almost finished and sealing.

Rcebowl...the lights are normally done within 1-4 days....

TurboTimah.... the project has been in the making for a long time (6 months) i have been talking about it and looking for people to help me.... Walker (Drifto) from MPFab was key in making what we both wanted and thought about happen. We each have key rolls and will work to supply everyone that wants one...just PM me guys!!!

I was thinking the same thing but if you are really worried about it Outerwears makes a cover that goes over the filter that is water proof.

It looks pretty trick. But, if you want cold air run a 4 inch duct from the bumper up into an airbox. It requires removing the intercooler sprayer, but it's worthless anyway.

I think Evodave was using a duct? Box in your filter and finish the job. The duct will provide more airflow than the tiny light mod... BUT the light mod is cool looking.

yeah u are the light man for sure. i remember the thread with the evo track car that had something similiar to these and u saying that u wanted to try and make it. well now u have. if i wasnt doing a 20g right now i would want one. the perfect setup would be that light, with some flexable AL tubing and one of those carbon fiber filters that is sealed. o damn i let out my secret plans. haha.

dave, it's jason! one question, is the seal on the air duct tight? is there a chance of moisture getting in the headlight housing? let me know as well as how much and when you'll have it available... btw, i'm working on your tires!
