I just did the install today. I'm going to make a black plate to put on there so it looks like cleaner.

Weird, that was a long time ago, even weirder that I checked the thread. Its Autometer, found here:

I liked it, good position, not too flashy. And I don't know if they do it on the other side...they have a dual one. You may have to get a "stand alone" pod, like the one I was using for the wideband. Just go to that link, many options on that site.

thanks. i think i'm gonna have to go with a stand alone pod to get it in the position i want. i just dont want to block any of the gauges/lights so i need it as close to the light stalk as possible i suppose. that stand alone one you have, is it like a cup that the gauge sits in or is it just a strap that holds the gauge in place (ie is it open in the back where you can see the back of the gauge, wiring, etc)? and do you have the regular or the carbon fiber one? i'm curious about the quality of the carbon fiber one.

Its a cup, if you look at the link again, this is the stand alone I used CLICK. The carbon fiber one you are referring too has a good pic of the back CLICK. If you look, the gauge goes inside the CF cup and the wires come out that little hole in the back. I would suggest to make it look clean, get some black wire loom to put over the wires. I don't know the quality of the CF, but I'm sure you could find someone on here that has used that particular pod.

And here is another picture I found so you can see what it looks like.
