Also, I have mine bolted to the mesh, with washers. You should be aware that the problem with this is that the shafts sit on the bumper and rub the paint off, here's a pics of how I set it up. Right under the mesh is where the rods touch the paint and have worn it away...
yeah i had my splitter on there without rods and the first day that i hit 110mph the front factory lip ripped off from the bumper completly! FYI - get it attached asap! It totally trashed the splitter!

SterlingEvo-- i may end up doing my tails 2 right now i got jdm evo 7 tails but the black looks very aggresive. After it was all isntalled i was sweating the car for the rest of the day hehe. The splitter looks good i just have to get the rods on asap i notice its 2 much force on the lip itself so i may end up taking the lip out and just put the splitter back on w the rods.

I had my "rods" fall off, and caused the little OEM bumper lip to seperate! The 1" piece above the splitter. new one cost 350.00!!! The OEM bumper piece. I had angle iron pieces bent into the position, and bolted those on, and no problems!!! Dont use the junky rods, as they can come apart (on the top mostly) and you can lose your splitter. I drove mine without the rods for 1 week, at highway speeds, and broke the "clips" which hold on the stock little bumper piece on the bottom.
