Anyone use this?

Hey guys, I have a quick question. Does anyone use this Mr. Clean Autowash thing? It seems way too good to be true for $30. Apparently, all you have to do is strap the gun to your hose and was your car with it. And, it has a filter and soap dispenser thing built in so that it's pretty much plug and play. Best of all, the commercial claims you don't need to dry your car off when you’re done. Well, it seems way too good to be true. Has anyone bought this, and used this? By the way, here is a picture of the kit:

Sweet! What about the filter and the soap? How long do they last? I tried looking around, but it didn’t really mention how long the filter would last before it would need a change. Also, I read that you can only use the soap that they sell, but it does last a while (not sure on this though).

ive only used it once, so i havent been able to see how long the filter lasts. But with the soap it brings in the box, ( a small sample one i assume, since the ones sold seperately seem bigger) , i was able to wash two cars with and go through half the bottle. And the bigger size soaps and filters go for about $5-10 , cant remember correctly. And the soap they sell is designed to not clog the gun thingy, i think it said in the manual.

The filter usually lasts about three washes.

I have it and it works....the finishing mist is great b/c it help when drying the car and doesn't leave spots, but you still have to dry it. I never just spray and walk away, but I have a black car so any kind of spots show up. I used my filters for up to 5-6 washes, and the soap depending on how much soap you spray, I spray and then use a sponge to wipe down the car, then finish wash. It depends on how you use it but it works for me.

I also heard this from a friend so I looked it up and found this...

"Does it leave a film behind? Does it strip the polish or the wax?
Mr. Clean AutoDry Carwash doesn't leave behind a film, just a thin layer of the Dry Rinse Polymer molecules that are replenished each time the car gets washed. These do not strip the wax, or harm the paint or clearcoat in any way."

I'm pretty sure that's the correct way of doing it after reading some comments on epinions.com. The commercial makes it seem like all you need to do is hose your car down, but most people don't know that you actually need to sponge it down too.

this is perfect for those extremely hot days when you can't hand dry you car fast enough you still hand dry the hard parts and let the auto dry do its job on the easy parts Its like having two people drying you car
