How would my struts blow if the drop isn't radical, spring rates are the same, came with new bump stops, and fit the dampers?

even if they blow you can upgrade . Car looks a lot better then stock height. I am guessing since there is a slight drop that it will cause it to blow overtime. Probably taking a while.

You should give works a call and ask them questions. They developed springs especially for the MR and non MR models. Bilsteins are expensive and you should spend some money on quality progressive springs. Otherwise you'll blow your struts.

I have the swift springs too. As long as the spring rates are the same, then you should be fine. But to my knowledge, i thought the hotchkis had stiiffer spring rates.

Ok, so why haven't the ppl that stated"oh man you're going to blow your struts" backing it up with a little info.

I have the same springs - so then it would go to say that I would blow my stock struts as well with the Hotchkis springs on my GSR.

So maybe I need to be educated as well....so does the MR have a different spring set-up than the GSR? I thought the only difference was the shocks - MR Billsteins vs GSR stock crap. I was going to buy someones Billsteins to replace my stockers.

Education is needed please if you have the knowledge.

Ok, I'm looking for proof here fellas - (help me out ppl who said lan_evo_mr9 would blow his struts)

http://www.worksevo.com/store/produc...products_id=71

From what you guys are saying, this would mean that ANYONE - RS, GSR, MR would blow their struts with ANY manufacture other than WORKS?? Is it because they said they matched the stock damping? BS until you can show me more than just saying it.

If it's because of lowering then that doesn't work because Works can lower these cars just as much as the Hotchkis (which isn't all that low) and others.

I want you to correct me and show me where I have wrong info please.

And like I said before it seems like the only difference between the RS/GSR vs MR are the struts - not spring rates.

So, we come full circle - where is it said that lan_evo_mr9 is going to blow his struts?

Help me out here - I'd like to know.

I've tried all kinds springs on my MR. Hotchkis, Tein H-tech, you name it...

I finally decided to go with Works MR springs because most of the springs on the market are not designed for MR bilsteins. MR bilsteins have a bit shorter rear springs than GSR's. I actually measured this one!

Anyways, those GSR lowering springs will not lower rears enough so it will look like raised in the rear but slammed in the front, which will shift more weights to the front and gives a lot more pressure to the front struts thus your front struts will blow quick. This actually happened to a few members here already.

Trust me on this! If you don't want to blow your front struts, hurry up and go switch your springs ASAP!
