EVO VII front conversion done.

Hey guys, its finally done after like 3 months. First i didn't have a hood, then my lip flew off after hitting a cat. But here's my VII front conversion... All thats missing are the hood pins. I modded the bumper a bit so the front USDM crash beam is retained.

It's hard to see in the dark, you should get some pics in the daytime.

awesome i wonna do that to my 8 rs and getta evo 7 wing, but you'd look better with a white evo 7 hood instead of cf, well thats my opinion tho, and you need the mitsu diamond on the grille, other than that it rules!

wtf? cat?

looks good though. I use to love the 7 bumper, but the 8's split grill has really grown on me.

Very nice looking. Take some pix in the day and post em up. Also, like stated above, it would look nicer with a mitsu symbol on the front grille.

i'll get some day time pictures up in a bit. I would definitely agree that the car would look better with an oem evo VII white hood, however they're almost impossible to find.

Regarding the USDM crash beam, I trimmed the bumper inserts. The 7 bumper atually has a bumper insert underneath the main grille in the form of the two horizonal grills. Usually there are two verticle bars in the two small horizontal grills. I simply trimmed it and put mesh behind the two horizontal openings, it actually looks better that way imo. Currently, the Seibon evo VII hood is on but fitment isn't perfect and it definitely needs hoodpins to hold it down.

If anyone knows of anywhere I can get an oem evo VII hood for a reasonable price, please let me know. I know Z1 has them, but they're like 1300 bucks or something. I did get the front bumper and lip from Z1auto with all the grille inserts for around 750+shipping.
