Can you swap bumpers between 05 Evo 8 and 06 Evo 9? just from looking at them I cant see any reason why you couldnt... I really dont care for the Evo 8 front bumper in white, the new style looks alot better, and would love to get it switched. If its not direct fit, does anyone know what else you would need to do to get it to fit?

I did a bunch of searching but couldn't find an answer. Thanks!

 

i have a evo 9 frotn bumper on my car and it fits perfectly.

 

im running an evo 9 front bumper on my evo 8 mr. it cost me an arm and a leg but i'm really happy with it.

 

yes its direct replacement. using same factory mounting points. perfect fit.

I have genuine OEM WW EVO IX front bumper, WW lower lip, and lower lip cover (small piece) in stock.

The emblem, center mesh and lower meshes are not included. You can get these much cheaper when ordering them at your local mitsubishi dealer.

The EVO 8 lower mesh grills will work on the EVO 9 lower air dam openings. But not the center. Hope this helps!

i think you might need something like a bar or some sort to make the 9 fit the 8....is that right or am i wrong?...thats what i heard

 

Zoom Autobody in Pasadena, Ca installed an Evo 9 front bumper on my 03 Evo 8 and had to modify/use the Evo 8 brackets because they said the 9 brackets didn't fit the same. They only charged $140 for the labor...and it looked sweet when they were done.
Four months later I bought a GG IX MR...
