That's the same kind of finish I had on my Rx-8 on the radio consel and power window/lock switches.

Looks very nice!

It is actually called Piano Black in the RX-8, Thats kinda where I got this idea. I just got rid of my rx-8 three months ago, I traded it in on my EVO. I am a big fan of the piano black dashes.

Very clean I think blacking the plastic pillar covers and doing a black headliner would compliment that dash very nicely! Though it would make it very dark in there at night....

So did you just use regular spraypaint laquer and clearcoat??

yes, i'd like this clarified a bit.. can you tell us brand names and specifics?

it looks so nice... did you have any problems re-fitting the pieces with the thicker coats of paint?

Why didnt' you match the shifter surround?

I'm doing the same thing but I'm going to match it with my exterior color....that is, when I can afford the new paint scheme.

We did this to Ben from Rally Sport Directs car about a year and a half ago, but he has the craig hardy panel, and we also did the shifter surround. Definately makes a big improvement.
