Carbon Fiber Hoods & Trunk Lids
Trying to gauge what the best options are for CF hood & trunklids. Which brand do you have? How's the fit & finish? Durability? Do tell!
From what I have seen so far. They all don't fit like stock at all. I have seen the Seibon hoods around me and they seems to fit okay to my eyes. I have a seibon trunk. it fits okay but not good as stock.

Well, I've been looking specifically at the C-West Super Trunk (PCC) and Hood (CFRP). Just wanted to gather some feedback on other brands. I've used C-West on other cars and everything was tight and straight. As far as the Seibon goes, is the gap bigger? How's the weave? Any fading?
Fits like a charm. Definitely one of the best hoods on the market. Has all the looks AND functionality of real carbon fiber. Lighter than stock, requires no hood pins that other hoods need, lighter than stock and none of the 'hood sag' you get when propping up the hood that other carbon fiber hoods experience.

wats wrong with that? 99% of your clothes and houseware products are made from china, do you need to think twice before you wear it or consume it?

Old thread but any tips for making the Seibon trunk fit halfway decent?
It looks nice but fits like crap.. I'm guessing some washers or something?
VIS hood fits pretty damn good

To be honest after 9 hours of driving I put it on as quick as I could... the thing I noticed was where the "front" (closest to the front of the car) where it meets at the window.. it's a lot lower than it should be. I'll do some adjusting today when I get home.
The VIS fits pretty nice but the grill they give you is 100% ghetto. The holes for it don't match up for the stock grill but I'm going to drill holes and use the stock stuff.
I'm not super impressed with either but I couldn't afford the evodave trunk.. and it's definately better than looking at the stock stuff with hail damage, wing holes, and some sort of rust caused by the wing.

well on my trunk the left side was sitting up very high. When you would sit inside the trunk and have someone close the trunk with you in it, you could see daylight throught the crack...
So I removed the rear seat backs, then removed the rear deck lid, then unbolted the two 10mm bolts holding the trunk swing arm from the top and put washers inbetween the bottom of the rear deck lid and the physical deck lid. So, the washers go on the inside of the trunk. Thus making the trunk sit lower that what it did.
The main thing to be careful is how many washers you use and the stock bolt length...
Fits perfect now and matches oem fittment...
