im sure any part he's looking for wont make a big enough difference in weight to even notice. lol. and since gas is steadily increasing it wont matter anyway. u'll lose money eventually..light car or not.

hey hey... i just think it sucks theres a huge carbon fiber shortage , and soon all our products are gona go up in price.

 

This is very old news. We are pretty much still at war and our military loves CF, plus add in the fact that we never know what kind of secret projects they are working on and you can imagine where a lot of it went.

 

+1 And I can't believe how people got all political. I was just sharing what I heard about the reason for the shortage. If that one person's comment was sarcasm than that's cool, my bad. It just didn't sound much like sarcasm.

 

I had just spoke with Streetconcept.com on the phone to order some stuff. They also stated there supplier is having problems meeting the demand they ask for. From this the cost is also going up. I am not going to cover my car in the stuff, but it is nice visually!

 

actually civil aviation sucks up more CF than the military applications. With both Boeing and Airbus putting out new planes that have very large CF sections, there's just not enough capacity to make CF and keep up. Difficult times for carbon based life forms

 

This problem had been awhile , affecting all carbon fiber item made companies.

from what i heard , there are few companies oversea decided not to product CF items anymore until the price drop. Some of them stop make CF HOOD and Trunk to cut down the useage of CF

 

there's an obvious solution.... put a ban on companies who make cf's for retarded cars like civics, 1996+corollas, mercury cougars, oddysey (i'm not kidding, i've seen an oddyseey with a damn cf hood).

 

This CF shortage is old news, and it really isn't that big of a deal...
