Is the stock shift boot in the evo 8 made out of vinyl or leather? What
about the shift boot in the various lancers?

 

im not sure i think its vinyl but i don't like it i want something with different material

 

I'm not quite sure either, but it doesn't seem like leather to me.

Slightly OT, has anyone picked up one of those carbon fiber shift boots that are on ebay? What's the deal with those? They looked pretty cool, but I don't get how it could be carbon fiber.

 

haven't seen those but i'd really like to get a nice leather boot....whatever material comes stock in the evo just looks and feels cheap

 

I bought a leather shift boot from Ebay with the ralliart logo stitched in for like $20, looks great!

 

It's not real carbon fiber but it has a 3D effect on it that looks like carbon fiber. It's not just some printed image, it actually looks like real cabon fiber. You can pick up the material by the reel and make your own carbon interior if you want.

 

Well I'll be dipped in... Where could one get such fine material? I like that door piece, it looks really nice. Have you done anything else with that material? Oh yeah, and what's it actually called?
