tired of ratty looking hood vent

the black paint on my hood vent was fading off and looked pretty bad, so i went and got some paint stripper. after stripping off all the paint i was going to choose a diffrent color but descided to leave it and i'm really happy with the results. whole process took less then 30 mins and very little effort. looks alot like the ralliart one that people buy for a 100 or so. 5 bucks for a can on paint stripper and 30 mins of time seems well worth it.

Someone just posted that they did this a few weeks back. It looks really nice though I think he used clearcoat afterwards.

i doubt it, i'd driven it for 6 months or so with most of the paint faded off and there was no signs of rust, did'nt really think too much about it, but i might go grab a can on clear coat just in case

it looks good like that on a black evo. I repainted mine black after it faded because I think the black looks better on silver (which I have).
