I've had the car a month now and I love it. My only modifications to this point have been in the stereo department because as you know the stock radio is worse than the one in my mom's 94 corolla. anyway this is what I have so far...

not a good idea to mount your amp directly on your box...

 

Why is that? I have had an amp directly attached to my Sub-box in my Montero Limited for the past 4 years and I haven't had any problems what so ever. And it was set up that way by a very reputable Stereo installer in my area.

 

the amp is attatched with heavy duty velcro so that if I need to remove the box its pretty simple.

 

not true at all. amps are safer if they are mounted somewhere and the sub box should always be the 1st choice.

 

he probably saying not to mount it to your box because a theif can get the whole system in one easy shot ??

hey man, i think someone ripped you off, you dont need that ipod box ($100), you only need the full speed cable(which is only 30 bucks). Where did you buy that stuff from?

 

is that cda9857?i have the same thing.
I bought mine from crutchfield for 350 shiped, and it came with the IPOD cable.(all u need for ipod)
