$5 Hood Vent Mod *PICS*

Hey I decided to strip the crappy black paint on the hood vent and it turned out looking pretty good. Easy to do and only cost me $4.99 from schucks. PM me with questions if you have any.

hey thanks for fixing my pics. yah just took off the vent and laid it out in the sun and sprayed a good quantity of the paint stripper on, left for 10 mins then wearing gloves or it burns, scrape off and rinse with highest power on my hose. dont use anything but a cloth or gloves to scrape. be sure to rinse off all the residue, i recommend doing a little spot on the bottom to see how it looks.

No because it shouldnt rust since it is stainless steel, if you ever took chemistry you would know but if it does rust or something just strip the stuff off again then clear coat it but as of 5 hours ago it hasnt rusted in my garage
