Hi All, Just picked up a used Yakima rack from ebay and curious what the distance should be between the front and rear towers? and also how far back from top of windshield should the front towers be mounted at?

I forgot the "M" measurements but whatever Yakima lists for the width of the bars (space between the Q towers) is wrong and needs to be 1.5-2" more than that. The M1 and M3 should be correct.

I ended up getting a 44" fairing... Looks so much better than a tiny 38" fairing.

For ALL FUTURE REFERENCE

here are the m1 / m2 / m3 / m4 measurements for 2003-2006 evo 8/9...

41 3/8" = M1
5" = M2
38 1/4" = M3
32" = M4

I spent hours looking for it, only to find it in my instruction booklet

But hopefully this well help future installs who don't have the numbers...

On to my rack, installed it last night and went to Snowbowl today! Had a blast with my gf

This is with the 44" fairing, 48" bars, q towers, etc..

Made the trip so easy, considering last time we had to put the boards in the back seat, which sucked!
