Interior plastics

What's the best way to clean/polish the interior plastics. Most products like armorall leave a greasy shine. I would prefer a clean, matte or almost matte finish that also helps to hide the scratches. What do dealers use for this? Thanks for the advice.

Well, a good way to do this is to mix up some soap water into a spray bottle, then get a brush of medium stiffness (a little stronger than a toothbrush, but not really stiff like a wire brush or something). Spray the soapy water lightly onto the dash, then scrub away with the brush in circular patterns, then wipe away the water with a clean dry towel. Work in small areas and take your time. Then wait a few minutes for everything to dry well. Get something like Meguires spray protectant and spray LIGHTLY onto a clean dry towel. The biggest mistake people make with that stuff is using WAY too much and spraying directly onto the surface. Go over the surface in small areas, then go back with another clean dry towel (no protectant...just dry) and "buff" the area you just wiped. Just think of it like waxing the inside of your car. That should give you a much subdued and very clean look on the inside!

I just started using 303 aerospace protectant. Don't mind the product name. Similar to Armor All, but not as shiny, not greasy feeling (more like .. slick-feeling), and not neary so grimy. They say it works on leather too. They also make a fabric protector for cloth seats. I just did the interior with both. Happy with results.

Armorall is ok you just gotta use a dry towel and scrub all the excess grease off after you're done applying.

i LOVE 303. i even want as far as to use it to revitalize my outside trim. it looks great and restores a nearly new luster to all plastic/rubber surfaces without over shinyness and greasyness like armorall.

303 or Vinylex.

303 for matte finish, Vinylex for shiny. Neither are greasy.

You can buy Armor All low-shine.

That's what I use, I hate that greasy looking crap.

any spray wax works as well... wet car shine, the stuff from turtle wax... and it doesnt collect dust.... apply with a cloth let it set, wipe with a dry cloth and you have clean, non dust gathering dash

303 is a water base, unlike Armorall which is silicone base and the reason behine the greasy affects. Use Armorall enough, and it will deteriorate your plastics and vinyl pieces. With 303, you just have to use it more offen, but it's a great product. I just use a wet soft rag to clean the iterior pieces, then apply 303, including the leather seats.
