Just picked up my Evo IX!
Just picked up my Evo IX!
Well... Some of you probably know I had a 2005 Aspen White STi, but I sold for good reasons. Then I bought a 2005 Silver Honda Civic Si to use solely for commuting to school for a few months because I wanted something with good gas mileage, but peppy at the same time. Now I'm on summer vacation and wanted something a lot quicker for the colder weather to come in a few months
. So I sold my Honda... My friend and I have been talking for quite awhile and wanted to pick up some new cars for the summer. We decided last weekend was THE weekend to pick up our new cars. So I went up to Huntington Beach Mitsubishi and got a new 2006 Wicked White Evo IX GSR! I didn't want the MR because I couldn't justify spending another 5K just for some minor stuff. I could just use the difference for mod money and make my car a lot faster and handle better. If anyone is in SoCal and wants to pickup and Evo, go to this dealership! I had awesome service and got a great price out the door on the Evo. My friend two days later went to picked up a brand new 2006 Honda S2000 (red with black interior). Here are some pictures after a nice 3 hour wash and wax:

I'm still loyal to the Subaru community and will always love both Mitsu and Subaru equally! Its just nice to test both worlds you know?
The lack of low-end torque isn't as bad as I thought. I've had the car only a week, and have been hauling 4-5 people in my car, shifting at 3K around the city and its not so bad. The handling and steering response is insane! It really does what you want it to do. I am going to wait until 1200 miles to open her up

Nice cars!! Did you trade in your old cars or sell them outright? Such new cars and not keeping them very long you probably lost some money on them so whats another 5k for a MR. Love the white if my dealer had a MR in white I would have gotten it.
I actually sold my old car (Honda) and made an extra 2K over what the dealership would of given me for it... So it was a good idea to wait a few months until someone came and bought it. As for the STi, it was also sold privately.
Personally i'm tired of the white Evo look. I had a white '05 GSR and seems everybody with a Evo9 has it in white..i'm glad I got the red IX RS, stands out more IMHO. Congrats on the car though, be safe with it.

Thanks
. I've only seen a grip of GG Evos around in my area... Rarely any white. I like the red too, but it stood out WAY too much. I don't want to be a cop beacon.
