how can i make my cobalt gauges red??

From: somewhere testing various tires, brakes, and suspensions.
Sorry I have a crappy digital camera.
Went to AutoZone, got some red window tint.
Measured and cut the circle. Applied like window tint - little water and cut a squeegee down so I could get the bubbles out.
At night it looks just like the factory gauges.

have you tryed taking appart the gauges? could i paint the leds red? or would it come out purple? what about putting the tint on the under side of the gauges so it looks stock then it lights up and lights up red?

I have the sport-comp 2 gauges.
Have you looked for red LEDs? You might be able to find some at a hobby shop. I suppose if you can get them apart you could tint the backing. But I have never tired.
At night, since my numbers are back-lite, it looks just like the RPM/speedo.

if ur up for a little DIY project. radioshack has leds that you should be able to replace in the gauge to make it match ur dash

ya replacing the leds would probably be the best. does any one know how to take appart the gauge? i have not really tryed so it might be really easy, or hard. any input?
