thanks. I JUST got finished now. Actually I'm not completely done, I still have to reinstall my hood, but at quarter of 2 no ones up to help hold it.
The new Defi BF white gauges are fantastic. Can't wait to see what she lays down for numbers tomorrow. Gettin tuned ALLLLLLL DAY at KTR in Ayer. Be on the look out for a write up of the experience.
(I'd post pictures but it would be uncharacteristic of this project to have my camera not run out of batteries
That Murphy fella wasn't ****in around...)

So heres the deal
. Ben at KTR is good. I like him a lot. He's a straight up kinda guy. He's relatively new at tuning(1.5 years) got about 50 cars under his belt or so, but knows his stuff. He got me over 100 hp(360 with a 240 baseline(weird I know) on a dyno dynamics dyno which reads really low) with the new set up. He'll answer all your questions, has no problem showing me exactly what he was doing, and most of all kept my car safe. We ran into a few snags along the way(my fault) and he was able to catch the car before anything bad happened. It idles well and drives smooth. HOWEVER. Because I suck at life, my uego sensor was ruined in the process of the street tune...so unfortunately I have to place the finale of this whole project on hold YET AGAIN(
) until I can remedy the issues at hand. All and all though, up till that last bummer, great experience with ben. I'd definately recommend him. He may not be a David Buschur or Martin Musial, but hes honest, fixes any issues you may have, and knows how to make good power. Thanks to Ben, see ya Friday, AGAIN. I'll be posting up graphs soon as we get the car finished. Until next time....

Oh, I got ya. It is really hard to compare any #'s off of KTR's dyno 'cause it is a real heartbreaker compared to a dynojet. Did you have any reservations about getting tuned by their new tuner, not saying he is bad at all just new. What e.m. are you running and how much boost? FWIW my old 03 evo with cams 272's put down like 270 on their dyno.
Our dyno dynamics dyno reads super low. I would love to see what his car makes on another dyno with the same tune. The tune was on the safe side with no knock what so ever, but even another degree of timing or lb of boost and the knock started. If anyone is interested in a log of the pull I'll send it your way. This was a pump gas tune I think he had 93 octane from Mobil in the tank. The baseline really didn't show a whole lot since it was incredibly rich with lower boost.
AEM EMS 22lbs of boost. His cams made it a ***** to idle it was the first car ive ever run into with that bad of an idle problem but I eventually got it stable at around 1100, a big part of the problem was the version 1.19 had a bug that wouldnt let me adjust the idle settings real time. I would change something and nothing would happen then he would rev it or drive a few feet and all my changes would happen at once. I ended up having to make changes based on what was happening and upload the new map each time instead of adjusting it on the fly. Alex was a great guy to work with and brought the car to us in perfect running condition which make the day so much smoother. SUPER clean install of all the parts the only problem we ran into was his FPR boost reference line poping off at 6000rpms under a WOT pull. luckily i saw it right away and got off it before the AFR spiked to bad
PS: what is this doing in show and shine i almost gave up on finding it

p.s. mods must have moved it
hey i was looking through your graphs this morning because i found a graph from franz when he tuned a carbon copy of your car, same 2.3l stroker, same AMS GT35R kit, same 93 octane, and 22.5lbs of boost... even the same cams. The graphs are basically carbon copies of each other with your car having a little less tq down load and a little more up top.
your highest hp of the day was actually 373.9 but there was knock mid run so the graph has a big dip in it then shoots back up at the end. you have more power up top after 6500rpms as well. im going to scan a copy of these graphs on top of each other and post for a comparrison.
looking at the trends of most of your graphs you would have had a significant amount more hp over 6500rpms but i was letting off around there. I wish i had seen this while you were still here
