finally did my tail lights

i had to us the dremel method because 03 lights are glued together, not silicon. i tried using the heat gun first but then realized that it wasn't going to work. it took most of the day, mostly of the time waiting for the paint to dry. it was raining all day and it took the paint longer to dry. enjoy the pics.

i've been wanting to do this but how long did you have to wait for the glue to come off and what did you use to glue them back together?

i couldn't use the heat gun method. 03 light are bonded together with some type of glue that melts the plastic together, not rubber adhesive that can be heated up and cut. i had to use a dremel to cut the lens off. i then use black silicon to glue the lens back on.

they are just some universal mud flaps i got from autozone. they were for trucks i think, and i had to trim some of the bottom off.

i don't really know if it's a method. you just use a dremel with a cutting wheel and cut where the lens as bonded to the lights housing. cut about 1/4 inch deep or till you can slightly pry the lens off.
