3M Clearbra on a C/F Hood?

Anyone done this or seen this done? Would it be smart? Or would it detract from the overall look of the hood?

The reason I ask this is that I had rock damage to the fenders, hood, and front cover of my Evo, and I am having it all repainted. I figured for the price of repainting the stock hood, I might as well get a C/F one. I had planned on doing 3M Clearbra on the whole front end, but that was before I decided on the C/F hood.

Should I do it? I mean, I am definately going to do it to the front cover and fenders, since they will be freshly repainted and I'm not going to risk more rock damage. I just haven't seen anyone do it or heard of anyone doing it to a C/F hood. I just want to protect the hood as well from future rock damage.

Wise decision or not? Let me know your opinions. Thanks.

its so dumb.. for the money you spend if anything happens, or you hit something, youll be out all that money..

i seen some guy clearbra his whole front end for 1400, the next week a tree fell on it and he had to go buy new fenders and a hood.

its cheaper to just buy new parts than clear it.. and do you really really need it?

six u talking about clear bra not looking good. have u ever seen anything clear braed? well you cannt tell its been done. thats the whole point to it.

its totally worth it if you dont want scratches, swirl marks, rock chips ect on ur parts. but i quess if a tree plots on ur car and falls on ur 3m cleared parts then its not worthing.

I don't like clear bras. I've seen them turn yellow and when they get chipped or damaged the look like hell.

I'd like to see your avtar in a clear bra though........

Ive seen it on a couple cars and u can tell its on there. Easy to spot where the clear ends on the hood. Personally I wouldnt do it.

most of these guys dont know it yet...but when a rock hits the clear bra....90% of the time when you decide to take off the bra it will peel the paint up where the larger rocks hit and looks 100x worst
