I want to have my hood, roof and side mirrors painted black. Here is how it would look:



Let me know your thoughts please. Also, please take into consideration that i will have the JDM rear installed as well.

 

it will look nice if you paint the top of your trunk as well.

 

if you want to do that, then do the trunk as well. otherwise, it would look unfinished imo.

See... i wanted to leave the trunk. The black would start at the front and continue onto the roof 'till the VG. At the same time the JDM rear would wrap up the black color from under the car and onto the bumper. The CF wing would be the brige. I want to leave the trunk silver. I hear what you are saying but if painting (or replacing in CF) just the hood is not unfinished i think this wouldnt look unfinished either.

 

You should do the trunk as well. My .02 cents

 

can you post it with just a painted roof??? I was thinking about painting my roof black .... I actually ordered a roll of black vynal to put on it to see what it looks like to see if I like it ....LOL

Go for it. I've seen it on other EVOs and it looks great. Post some pics when the project is complete. You could go with the carbon trunk instead of paint.

 

if i were you, i'd just go carbon hood/trunk, black roof/vg. that's what i did on my IX MR...not the mirrors tho

That looks good. My only problem with CF is fitment. All CF hoods and trunks i've seen had poor fitment. Looking at these photos i am thinking i may paint the trunk too now... not sure though... on the other hand, i want it to be different. The paint i will use will not be just plain flossy black. Maybe charcoal. Something with a bit of satin. I have to see some paint samples before i decide.

Edit: Nah, i will not paint or replace the trunk. I want a different look. Hood, roof and mirrors is all i am going to do. Think of it as an experiment
