I don't see why it wouldnt work.
You probably just need proper brackets to make them fit.
I personally believe it might give you better lateral support since it has deeper side bolsters.

If you have some JDM ITR seats, I'd say go ahead and put it on.
I'd love to have those NSX racing shells in my evo.

Seats

I have seen the EVO recaros bolt right on in a 98 Type-R, but not vice versa.

They are not the JDM type R seats but they do not swap with the evo 8 or 9 brackets.

seeing as though CTR and ITR recaros dont' swap back and forth without modifications to the bracket, I'm sure you wouldn't just be able to swap em in. i'm sure with some time and effort (and most likely the construction of a custom bracket), you could use them.

but since you have an 04, do you really want red front seats and blue back seats?

Seriously, it's one of the best seats I've sat in, I love the alcantara fabric, it's bad-***. I'm looking to pick up a set of blue Recaros + matching rear seats + carpet for my DC5

Ive sat in those seats. A guy I know up here in maine had a honda teg type r RHD from japan. Ironically it got stolen this summer at a NOPI event and stripped in boston. Those Seats are very comfortable. more so then the evo seats. imo.

The red also is a little darker in person I think. They look great. Id take a pair in a second.

the JDM Recaro SRD's that come fromt he DC2 Type R's are awesome seats.

they are better, in my opinion, than the USDM Evo 8/9 seats (yes I've sat and ridden and driven in both).

the JDM Recaro SRD's are more comfortable AND will hug you better.
