Tarmac Black vs Labrador Black Pearl

How does the Tarmac Black compare to the black that came on the Regular lancers? I want to go wingless and wonder if it would be easier to just buy a singless lancer trunk, but i'm not so sure how the color matches. thanks!

The colors aren't even close to matching. Tarmac Black is a flat black paint with a clear coat. There is no pearl or metallic in the paint. Labrador Black is a Pearl Effect Paint. So the colors would be very very off. You're better off removing your wing and having a qualified body shop fill the holes and respray the trunk.

Just buy a trunk for an evo. You can get them for like 400 through Mitsu without the holes.

WRONG

I dare you to tell me my Tarmac Black doesn't have flake! The problem is TB evo owners don't take care of their paint! Swirl marks and marring do a hell fo ajob hiding the pearl.

My paint has blue/purple mettalic in it, and the Labrador Black is essentially identical with a different name. There is a reason it's called TARMAC BLACK PEARL.

3volut1on, go ahead and look for what you originally intended.

BTW upsate, 2006 evos are still TBP...look on the website: http://mitsubishicars.com/MMNA/jsp/evo/06/views.do.

yes. the 02-03 model year lancers share the same trunk. I run seibons evo VIII CF trunk on my 03 lancer. A lot of evo guys swap trunks with lancers since us lancer guys like using the evo wing.

Word, my paint is swirled to hell, and I can still see the pearl in it.
