C'mon man.. An evo should be a $15,000 car.. Anyway, I like it, not just because I'm wingless too but because alot of people don't realize how easy of a "mod" it is to do and it gives you the ability to be different for a day and then immediately put it back on.

You can't describe the look on the face of a new corvette owner when you wax his a$$ at the drag strip with a "lancer." (Pull everything off except for the lancer emblem on the back, I love a good sleeper)

It's like the look a kid makes when you tell them there's no Santa.

No problem brosive.. I just don't understand all the hatred over taking wings off evos..I came over from the subaru world and always thought they looked better wingless...I just thought I would carry that over to my evo.. Here is mine, sorry hope you don't mind..

I have a RR VIII and want to take the wing off. I'm going to wait until I have suspension on the car though. The car looks funny at stock height with no wing. Plus I don't like the idea of holes showing.

to me, going wingless gives the evo's rear a subtle european look (not a bad thing)...if the euro fanboys will forgive me for saying so

unfortunately the GG pic shown emphasises the hideous rear US bumper by not having a wing on up top. It looks like the OP's friend's red evo has already had the proper treatment, jdm bumper (not that you can see it in the pic)

edit - the vortex generators look ridiculous without the wing however, IMO

Lancer OZ is wingless. I don't want to be mistaken for one.

what i hate is when an EVO goes wingless and they just leave holes in the trunk. take it to a bodyshop and get those filled, or get another trunk without a wing if you want to go wingless. it just looks dumb to run around with a brand new 30-37k car with holes in the trunk.

personally, i dont like wingless EVOs, BUT if the car is wingless, a JDM rear bumper + vortex generator is a good way to finish off the rear. but i say just leave the damn wing on the car. the engineers put it there for a reason
