2 new pics of new stuff on my car.

Just two new pics of some stuff I did to my car over the weekend..

Of course, below is one of only two purely appearance mods..

I do plan on blacking out my headlights.. hence the darker CF diamond.. I did it to replace the damaged stock one that looked like someone was trying to pry it off.

LOL, I am going to probably go with the JDM housings, their just very expensive.

the only other appearance only mod I have is JDM MR Tails, which were what I used when the car was rear-ended for the second time in two years (last year)

I think I will probably tint the windows too, now that I drive another car with tinted windows every day and found its not bugging me as much as I thought it would.

hey MJ, how'd you get the old diamonds off? i was thinking of those CF ones for my car a few weeks ago, but was looking at my current mitsu badges, playing with them a little, and scratching my head as to how to get the front one off since it's recessed in the bumper.

Its a Buschur with a 1G DSM flange.. I have a blowthrough MAF (the billet saddle above the BOV)

The weldable SSQV flanges warp when you weld them, hence most leak at the base if their directly welded to the pipe. I used a Skyline Billet flange (1G Flange) to bolt it up to the 1G flange on the UICP, It hasn't leaked on me yet.

DON'T use an SSQV unless you don't have a stock MAF, the car will run like A$$.. If you want to try using one, you HAVE to recirculate it, which I did prior to having the blowthrough.

I don't have a stock MAF, and need a positive seal valve that won't blow open, since spring valves require quite a bit of spring pressure to stay closed and hurts drivability.

It depends on how much damage you want to do.. Apparently someone tried to pry mine off when I wasn't looking, so it was already damaged so I pulled it off with a screwdriver.

The paint on my bumper is really chipped, the bodyshop that did the work on my car, repainted my front bumper skin (on my request) and did a AWEFUL job of doing it, so in the process of removing the remaining two diamons it chipped up the bumper skin in the recess..

The best way to do it is using a thin flat-blade screwdriver with a cloth wrapped around it, though its unlikely you'll get the diamond off in one piece.

2 questions:
1) What non-stock MAF sensor are you using? Is it Hot Wire?

2) I've always wondered what benefits result from a non-stock strut brace.

Nice car BTW.

Its a ford (Hitachi) analog sensor, there are two types of sensors, hot wire and thin film, I'm pretty sure this one is a hot wire.

No benefit in the strut brace, its a few pounds lighter if anything.. I just wanted to stick with the gem in a jewelbox look where the outside of the car is blacked out, and under the hood is polished/billet/stainless/braided, etc..

Its a Dejontool 4" intake.. its almost custom since he makes them to order and you can have him make adjustments for things.
