my uk spec evo8 mr
ball bearing the turbo involved fitting a complete new turbo core so fitted, balanced, checked over, etc etc cost me £835.00 about $1670.00 but the turbo came back like brand new couldnt belive it was the same turbo i sent.
also included was new gaskets, banjo bolts, etc

Was this done by Essex Turbo?
yes bud it was built by essex turbo's.
i also got sent a pair of manifold bungs so i can get rid of the secondry air system, which is what runs from the top intercooler pipe to the manifold.
this causes a delay if you was to hard throttle the car ease off then hard throttle it again, as it has to open throw some cold air into the manifold to cool the turbo then build the boost back up, takes around 4-5 seconds to do, which is a pain.

well folks the turbo and new exhaust are now fitted
got it fitted yesterday and boy it sounds wicked, spools very fast which is good had the car in at mitsi today for a 4.5k service and all reports are good with no problems...
i got to my mates garage yesterday morning and got cracking straight away, turbo was soon off after some thinking quick removal of the fan and the turbo was soon out and the new 1 in place,
next set about fitting the new exhaust and got the front pipe on,decat, and the new greddy ti-c got the cooler pipes back on to the turbo, checked everything over underneath and got to work up the top..
got the air filter and inlet pipe back on, last thing to do was fit the lambda grr with the new turbo elbow the lambda wires was to short. so i set about unpicking the wiring loom and removed the lambda wires from its orignal location and the lamdba now runs to the right hand side of the engine, a hour wasted but a solution it was..
checked over everything and turned the key sounded mint only 1 thing left to do was remove the exhaust bung. now it had a bit of bark back
its great when ya turn the engine off and the turbo is still spinning
some piccys

Any chance you will have before and after dyno charts to illustrate the effects of going BB center section? O, please say yes!
I have contemplated doing this with an FPO Green...mad money to do this, though.
