The one you had to cut was for the evo vii only, thats why it didnt fit the VIII/IX's.

This intake, you need the JDM battery conversion and intercooler piping. Once you have that it all fits pretty nicely.

yeah its a big cone type and also comes with suction pipe

I wrote to rexpeed about producing some of these in plastic rather than CF. He said if enough demand drummed up he would do it, but otherwise they have enough high demand products they are producing right now.

Ergo, everybody drop him a PM and let him know you want it! I could see spending like $250 for a plastic version, but yeah, $850+ is insane.

Edit: I didn't notice it was a cone filter. The grouppe-M is for a panel filter and resists all the heatsoak. It's nothing like the blitz carbon either to whoever said that.
