I would strongly suggest any Evo owner to clay bar their car. I purchased my Evo MR new and I could not believe all the metal dust embedded into the paint
This metal dust gets embedded into the paint from train transportation from the factory to the shipping yard. Clay bar was engineered to remove contamination from the paint. If you have a silver or white Evo, you will notice what appears to be rust but its really metal dust.
When you clay bar your Evo, plan for an all day event. Make sure the Evo is freshly washed, cool and in the shade. My personal favorite clay bar product to purchase is from Meguiars (http://www.meguiars.com) which can be purchased at most auto centers (Pep Boys). Be sure to wax after clay barring.
I hope this helps.

He's right. The clay bar picks up everything. I would cut it up into smaller pieces so if you drop one little piece then its no big deal. Well, that is unless you enjoy paying for a new clay bar every time you drop one.

Just my thoughts, but next time you go to use the clay bar, try out meguilars (sp). Its a couple of dollars more, but you get 2 small bars vice one big one. also you get a microfiber cloth with it as well. I do agree with everyone as well, take your time and make sure the car is cool. here is a link that i found for a friend that has some good info and products as well.
