Testing out new camera/panning shots

Well i got into a digital photo class so i had to go buy a good camera
I ended up /w a canon rebel XT 8.0 MegaPix /w a 2 lens kit and a bunch of other goodies... anyways here is some pics i had to take for class under the panning section: This is my Silver IX MR and a buddy 4_wheel_motion's red VIII.

Some of them came out /w a little camera shake.. but i think they turned out good for my first REAL panning shots.

pretty good,

when panning you need a very smooth motion with the tripod/pod.

you also need to "focus" on one part of the target, and pan as the target moves..

itll blur all surrounding keeping focus on that one focus point of the target.

not bad for first attemp.

Try a lil bit more faster shutter speed.
Did you shoot in TV mode or auto?
