Those wheels you just quoted are heavy two piece wheels that have no place in a performance vehicle like the Evo. Those wheels suck, period.

Here's a link to a bunch of wheel weights:

first of all, BBS RS-GT and RE's r ONE piece wheels, not 2 piece secondly, u do know that ur comparing $700 a piece Volks to these $400 Gravity wheels right? BBS wheels suck? BMW M3 CSL, Audi S4, S203/S204 STi, Modena 360 SF Challenge all have BBS RE's as stock wheels. i guess those car designers must be smoking crack to put those horrible wheels on these gorgeous cars

wheels that have no place in a performance vehicle like the Evo

BBS RS-GT's are definatly 2 peice rims- i used to have a pair and secondly BBS's rims have tons of motorsport heritage your right about that but I have also heard they recently went bankrupt

A heavy wheel just sucks, period. What's so hard to understand about that?

Just to clarify the BBS RS-GT forged aluminum and two piece wheel is 21.1 pounds in 18x9.5 inch form.

The BBS RE forged aluminum and two piece wheel is 21.3 pounds in 18x9.5 form.

The Volk CE28N forged aluminum one piece wheel is 16.5 pounds in 18x9.5 inch form.

One piece will always be stronger than two piece. That's just a fact.

Lighter will always be better.

Debate over.

I know exactly what a **** is...do you know what they stood for? Also do you know what the phrase "figure of speech" means? No need to mention I put "WEIGHT" in front of it. Google those... put 1 and 1 together, then get back. It's obvious that I'm not using it in the literal sense of the word.

The point of my statement was to point out how much of a douche you're being about wheel weights, as if everyone that purchased their car has the goal to have the lightest, fastest car on the block. If you think that...YOU'RE WRONG. Some think the speed is plentiful, and now they just want the look. If everyone WERE concerned...we'd all have the same lightweight wheel.

One last thing..."Driveability" is a very subjective term. There are people that drive comfortably with no radio, loud exhuasts, etc. I still hope you drive an RS since you're about weight reduction without degrading driveablity.

Thats fine Vigo... No one is gonna argue that a heavy wheel is better than a lighter wheel for performance purposes. Yes its common sense that one piece wheels are stronger. However, do realize that people are entitled to do whatever they want with their cars. If some of us like wheels for show purposes, then you have no business tellling us that they dun belong on an evo. Not everyone tracks their cars and I have no idea why a small ignorant portion of the evo community assume that that we're all race car drivers. But in any case, an 18x9.5 400 dollar cast wheel is not considered heavy at 21 pounds.

I don't care what you do to your car, but that does not mean I can't comment about your un-wise decision.Do whatever feels best. I'm not a facist by any means.
