Well my Advans are black chrome and they still weigh in at 17.5lbs which is less than most of the gunmetal and flat black rims that the "hard core" evo enthusiasts have on their cars. But everyone has their own taste I suppose. I personally wanted to be different and go with a clean JDM look so I chose the light and oh so JDM Advan RGIIs in SBC. And I love them!!!

I could see where some people dont like it, but since my car is apex silver, I just think black and gunmetal is sooooo played out so I wanted something different and went with some black chrome and love it!

 

Why are you explaining yourself to people for? As long as you like it thats all that matters. When I had my red 8 and put gold RG2's on it I got all kinds of poeple saying stuff on my local forums about it looking like a Mc Donalds car or something.

At this point in time, most of everything has been done and is considered played out. I don't care if a million people did it, it won't stop me from doing it if I like it.

I was just saying the thought process I had when I decided to buy the RGIIs really. Hell if I was worried about what people thought I probably wouldnt do most of the things I have done in life. I was just saying how I could see how some people wouldnt like chrome colored wheels on certain cars. And I respect that. I really would like some diamond black TE37s but dont want to run +22 offset. Plus I like having black chrome rims. I like to be different.
