I wonder what im cooking up....
Its how they are set up, clearanced and USED in the engine. Most people don't realize the most important factor in using aluminum is also its downfall. Expansion rate. Bearing clearances need to be on a completely different scale. Also oil temp and quality is key. Aluminum rods do NOT like sustained heat, and UNSTABLE oil temps. There are however more pros than cons for aluminum rods but for drag racing apps only. For the street an aluminum rod will need to be "checked" very often as it will and can twist and stretch in very little time. Especially if it becomes a very abused vehicle at the drag strip and then a joy rider on the street.
Just 2 cents

Yea with the setup you have i would expect it to be a track only car... i mean a car that should trap 145 + on the street wouldnt be very safe. Hit me up when you go to the track, i'll try to go up there too... but from the looks of things, my car wont be getting done anytime soon
im rideing stock
Well looks like im not makeing hin damn people cant get me the right bareings the motor along has taken 6 months to get ready im so pissed people cant get deadlines done on time this car should have been up the first of this month.
Ill stop by once its done.
Cant wait to see it, every thing looks nice. What kind of pistons are those? By the way for those asking, I think those cams are made by comp. I remember seeing something similar to that engraving on my comp 272's. I am sure they are Buschur's secret sauce though.
I just called groden to clear up fact about alum. rods the guys told me there will be no problem with theses rods on the street they know guys that have many miles on the rods and counting with no issuses. They dont have to be check after every few passes either. As long as you have the right set of bearings you wont have any problems.
If for any reason you dont beleave me here is the number so you can call for your self.

Looks like im not makeing HIN because they send me the wrong parts 3 times in a row and it delaid everything. The car should be on the way to our fab guy. Im pissed but i rather take my time with things then rush them and come out halfass. Where also runnning a fuel cell along with your setup where planing on running E85 with this setup so if i go on a road trip i wont have to stop for 700 miles or so.

hahaha... i wish i had money
