Need ideas on fixing holes in front bumper

I took the APR front splitter off my IX and now I have the 2 holes where the splitter was connected to the bumper on the inside next to the intercooler. I was considering some sort of rubber grommets of something or maybe even filling it and trying touch up paint. Anyone got any good ideas? Don't really want to have to take the bumper off if I don't have to.

Thanks,

-CI

Go to home depot, there is a fiberglass premix kit, polyutherethane prmix kit etc that comes in two packets... easy to use no mess

And would you then just use touch up paint?

Scratch the fiberglass idea and find some plastic plugs from home dept and paint them to match. Who would even consider fiberglassing two little holes?

+1 On vinyl overlays.....

When I went wingless.....I used vinyl overlays to cover the holes on my trunk. I have metallic silver if you are interested in checking them out.....I have gone thru several days of rain and not a single issue.

What color is your IX?

This is what I mean..
Largest diameter i have is the size of a quarter......

screw the fiberglass...do what he said ^^^ if your going to fill the holes do it right and take it to a body shop but if you just want a temporary fix then do the vinyl overlays...thats what I did when I went wingless on my VIII

go to a vinyl sticker shop and they can print out hundreds of little round color matched circles for less then $10...and they last for months w/ out peeling or fading

Wow, the vinyl sticker thing looks like the way to go. I have three 1/2" holes in my front fascia where the Mitsu dealer drilled into it so they could stick rubber grommets in and then attach the mailbox-sized front license plate holder. I removed it, and need to cover those darned holes. I was going to buy 1/2" knockout plugs (rounded tops, snap into hole) and paint them with the factory paint pen, but the vinyl sticker would stand out less if it matches the paint properly...

Called quite a few printing/sign shops in the Fresno area before I found one that had pre-colored vinyl overlays (Fast Signs had them). I went in and had them bring a couple of samples out to see which silver vinyl closely matched my car, then had them print various sized circles (like the picture shows) and then tried them on the car when I got home. Wow, when it's not really sunny out and you're not standing next to it, you can't even tell there's a small circle there. The silver vinyl stickers are just a tad lighter than my Apex Silver, and you won't notice unless you're standing close & are looking for it.

I'd recommend going to http://www.fastsigns.com/locations.html to see if they have a location near you. Take the car in so they can match to your paint & have them print a bunch of them up (you'll screw up the first one you peel off because you don't realize how thin they are LOL)...
